Sam Ramos is a strategic technical executive with over 30 years of experience driving digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) enablement, and enterprise cloud architecture. As our Chief Technology Officer, Sam brings a wealth of mission-critical expertise from the highest levels of the federal government and private sector, leveraging his strategic vision and operational expertise to build scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions.
Before joining our team, Sam retired from a distinguished career in the Federal Government, where he most recently served as the Chief Data Officer for the ATF under the U.S. Department of Justice. His proven track record in managing complex, high-stakes environments includes his tenure as the Head of Engineering, Security, and Operations for NASA's Global Command and Control Network (NASCOM). In this capacity, he was also responsible for the network of Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, and White Sands.
Sam's technical execution capabilities are deeply rooted in cloud engineering and cybersecurity. As the Program Manager for the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP), a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect for NASA's High-Performance Computing (HPC) program, and a Senior Lead Technologist at Booz Allen Hamilton, he engineered massive, data-intensive applications and DevSecOps pipelines across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). He also brought his expertise to the financial sector as Director of IT Risk Operations at AIG, establishing a global "Data Driven Security" program that utilized data science to identify security gaps and ensure strict international compliance.
Beyond traditional cloud infrastructure, Sam is at the forefront of emerging technologies. He is deeply proficient in cutting-edge AI implementations, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock, RAG, Vertex AI, and Anthropic Claude. He is also actively advancing the field of quantum technology; he is currently a third-year PhD student in Computer Engineering at Iowa State University, where he is conducting advanced research on Quantum Computing, Quantum Machine Learning, and Post-Quantum Cryptography.
